Delhi, Varanasi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur

After arriving in Delhi and spending a full day exploring the city with a private guide, fly to Varanasi, the most sacred city in India for Hindus. In Varanasi, visit the remains of early monasteries at Sarnath and participate in an evening Deepmala ceremony. After a morning boat ride on the Ganges River, enjoy some city touring before flying to Delhi for a night. Continue on to Agra by road with a visit to Sikandra en route. Touring in Agra includes a visit to Agra Fort, which provides awesome views of the Taj, and then an opportunity to see the Taj bathed in the evening light. You will also visit Itmad ud Daulah, the tomb of Mirza Ghiyath Beg. The next stop is Jaipur, the famed Pink City of India, with a visit to Fatehpur Sikri en route. In Jaipur, ride an elephant to the top of Amber Fort and tour the museums and palaces of the city. From Jaipur, fly to Udaipur and visit the City Palace and the Jagdish Temple before taking a boat ride on Lake Pichola. While in Udaipur, head out to see the elaborate complex of Jain temples in Ranakhpur and enjoy some flexible private touring before returning to Delhi for your final night in India.
