Tongabezi
LodgeVictoria Falls vicinity The first river lodge on the Zambian side of Victoria Falls was built with extraordinary care paid to the natural environment. Most of the private chalets feature an open-air portion, so guests have the illusion of sleeping in the great outdoors and wake up to an unobstructed view of the river. As a result of this open style of accommodation and the fact that guests can hear the mighty rush of nearby Victoria Falls, visitors to Tongabezi feel immersed in the environment rather than removed from it. Each chalet has a private butler, an open-air sunken bath, and a "loo with a view"! In addition to visiting Victoria Falls, guests can spend their time canoeing, enjoying an island lunch, boating at sunrise and sunset, guided walks, fishing, game viewing in the Mosi-oa-tunya Game Park, or visiting Mukuni Village, the Tujatane School, and Livingstone Museum.

Tents feature Victorian sunken tubs, double brass sinks and large private verandahs. The dining and bar area of the lodge overlook the confluence of the Chiawa and Zambezi rivers, where animals frequently stop to drink and cool off from the heat. Relax on the dining porch and enjoy Chiawa's delectable cuisine, known for its fresh, locally-grown produce.

Toka Leya Victoria Falls vicinity Located in the western sector of the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park and shaded by jackalberry and knobthorn trees along the banks of the Zambezi River, Toka Leya is an ideal base from which to explore Victoria Falls and the surrounding areas. Twelve luxurious safari-style tents have wooden floors with colorful rugs, expansive decks and an earthy, subdued décor that showcases the outside views; wooden walkways connect the buildings of the lodge, minimizing the impact on the environment. Activities for guests include touring the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, game drives in the park, fishing excursions and visits to Livingstone or a local village. A small pool overlooks the river and the food is a highlight – to the delight of guests, the kitchen even has a pizza oven!
